Only once in my life
Had I been, as it turns out,
Fortunate enough to witness that thing
Known as "true love"

Many times in my life
I had experienced a "love"
A feeling, that to the best of my experience,
Must have been that thing called love.

It was not until I met you, my love,
That the world opened up to me and
I gained the understanding of truth, of happiness,
Of love, as it was and is meant to be.

I have no fears, no doubts, no qualms -
Every day brings me only closer to you, and
Fills me with more joy for the moment
During which we first really "saw" each other.

I thank you for all you are to me -
My friend, my lover, my confidante,
My sounding board, my work associate, and,
Most of all, and most thankfully,
My husband.
